Danish band Yung made their North American introduction with These Thoughts Are Like Mandatory Chores, six songs of hazy, melodic indie rock with a dollop of angsty vocals. Opening cut “God” now has a video featuring what may be the weirdest karoake party ever. Snakes are involved. The video premieres in this post and you can check it out below.
Yung are in NYC this week for CMJ and tonight (10/12) play Elvis Guesthouse for the Oh My Rockness kickoff party that’s with Shopping, Yvette and Big Ups. (They were previously somewhat cryptically listed as “uld” on the bill.) Tickets (5$) are on sale now. Here’s the full CMJ schedule:
Mon. Oct. 12 – Oh My Rockness CMJ Kick-Off Party @ Elvis Guesthouse (8:45pm)
Wed. Oct. 14 – Kanine Records/Dr Martens’s Party @ Pianos (1:00pm)
